The First Voice: A Founder’s Reflection
There was a season in my life when everything seemed to shift at once.
My daughter was still in elementary school when I went through a divorce. Suddenly I was learning how to navigate life as a single mom while also trying to hold everything together for her. At the same time, I was in graduate school and working full-time, doing my best to keep moving forward while quietly figuring out how to heal my own heart.
Like many mothers, I tried to stay strong for my child. I wanted my daughter to feel secure and happy, even on the days when I was still learning how to carry the weight of everything that had changed. I was doing my best to help her adjust to missing her father while also trying to make sense of the new life we were building.
During that time, I realized something many mothers experience but rarely say out loud: we often carry our transitions quietly. We keep going, we take care of everyone around us, and somewhere along the way our own healing becomes something we try to figure out alone.
Moms Get Well was born from that realization.
What began as my own season of reflection slowly grew into a vision for a space where mothers navigating life’s changes could find encouragement, thoughtful reflection, and a sense of community. A place where we could acknowledge that transitions are hard, but also that healing and hope are possible.
My hope is that Moms Get Well becomes a place where mothers feel seen and supported as they move through seasons of change. Through reflection guides, shared stories in Global Voices, and growing practical support through Moms Get Well Blessing Packs, this space is being built with care for the many journeys mothers walk.
If you are navigating a difficult season right now, please know that you are not alone.
And if you feel led to share your story, your voice is welcome here too.
